Urban Sketching

Urban Sketchers is a global community of artists who practice drawing on location in cities and towns where they live or travel. I stared this journey three years ago, to not only enhance my drawings skills but also draw a location live and translate the way I perceive this location with my drawing tools.

I find the international character of Urban Sketching a pleasant added value, because of the wide variety of people, skills, techniques and different artist’s handwriting. But most of all the culture of respecting each other and welcoming every level as equal. It makes for a similar atmosphere contributes to a positive experience that is shared worldwide online and live somewhere in the world every two years.

I started of drawing on paper with watercolors and ink. The last year I started Urban Sketching on my iPad. It gives me a totally different vibe and totally different output. I haven’t made up my mind yet which one I like better.
